About me

Yevheniya Nosyk

I am a cybersecurity researcher working on DNS, Internet measurements, and network security. I divide my time between academic research and outreach to the operational community, providing data and analysis that shed light on real-world deployments. I obtained a Ph.D in Computer Science from Université Grenoble Alpes in 2024.

For the full list of publications, check my Google Scholar profile.

I also occasionally write on RIPE Labs.

Selected Projects

Extended DNS Errors

I set up domains with many different types of misconfigurations to check how recursive resolvers handle those. Feel free to query them if you need to test something.

Project website

dnssoftver

I wrote a DNS fingerprinting tool to identify recursive resolver software running on remote machines. I am constantly looking for ideas to improve the software and add more test cases!

INFERMAL

I participated in the ICANN-funded project that aims to analyze the preferences of cyberattackers and propose measures to mitigate DNS abuse.
